About me..

I believe everyone has an interest in their life they should follow, a dream they’ve been dreaming, a quiet confidence in their ability for that one particular thing.. I believe photography is mine.

I’ve always wanted to become a photographer (well except for the cowboy stage at the age six..) I love the camera and the beauty of the medium. It allows me to express myself and how I see the world around me. I’m particularly in love with photographing people at the moment..to portray them as they truly are, to capture not only their beauty but make them feel comfortable enough to reveal a little bit of their soul..I think that’s what makes a good photograph.

I have a Higher National Diploma in Professional Photography and Imaging, the course that gave me a great technical understanding of the medium and allowed me to take my interest to a professional level. I have worked for a regional newspaper, The Press and Journal’s Evening Express in Aberdeen as a press photographer which was an interesting experience. It showed me the reality of  news environment and also gave me an opportunity to capture different aspects of human life. When I went backpacking in 2010 I photographed my way round Europe.. It was an amazing time, the best year of my life and it had a huge impact on who I am and what I do. I have since settled down in the Scottish Highlands, my favourite part of the country, with my husband Dave and our two lovely children Noah and Abigail.
